Inclusive Preschool Class

We will be offering one full-day Inclusive Preschool class for the 2014-2015 school year.  This class will afford Preschool handicapped students an opportunity to learn alongside non-disabled peers.  This will be a full-day program.  For parents of non-disabled students interested in applying for limited spots in this class, there will be a tuition to subsidize the cost of the program. Please see the attached link for the application and deadline to apply.  Non-disabled students will be selected through a lottery.  Preschool handicapped students will be placed as per their IEP, at no cost.  Again, please see the attached link for information regarding the program, application and notification of selection.  Program Information and application.

Kindergarten Registration
Our first Kindergarten registration on March 11, 2014, had a high turnout of Kindergarten registrants for next school year. As indicated in our previous message at our website, this will mean that because of space limitations there will not be a half-day Pre-Kindergarten in our district, as we will need to accommodate our Kindergarten population. We are exploring one (1) inclusion full-day Pre-Kindergarten class (approximately 15 students) for special needs and regular education students. More information regarding this will come forward in the near future.

Previous Post:  Our first Kindergarten Registration will be held on March 11, 2014 at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM  at each elementary school.   When we have a good idea of the number of Kindergarten students next year through registration, we will then know whether we can also host Pre-K as we have in the past.     Facilities space limitations are the reason for first needing to determine through registration our needs for Kindergarten.  There will be no Pre-K registration on March 11th.
